Rihanna BiographyLittle Rihanna was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988 to a Barbadian father and a Guyanese mother in the Parrish of St. Michael, Barbados, an island in the Caribbean.

On February 17, 2008, Rihanna's single "Do not Stop The Music" became the first single ever to reach No. 1 on the Australian ARIA charts based solely on digital downloads. Single has not yet been released on CD and has already made to the coveted No. 1 position on the national singles charts.
The fourth single, "Hate That I Love You" featuring Ne-Yo, was released on August 21 and so far has peaked at # 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving his sixth Rihanna top ten hit.
The fifth was to be single "Breakin 'Dishes" according to Billboard and has so far reached # 4 on the Hot Dance Club Play. However due to the surge in digital sales and airplay of "Do not Stop the Music" He replaced Breakin 'Dishes as the next single.
Also in 2007, won Rihanna World's Best-Selling Pop Female Artist & Entertainer of the Year at the 2007 World Music Awards. On 18 November 2007, she won Favorite Female Artist - Soul / R & B in 2007 American Music Awards. "Shut Up and Drive" won the best R & B song at the 2008 People's Choice Award. "Do not Stop the Music" won the best song international NRJ Music Awards 2008 in France. She also won four awards at the Barbados Music Awards 2008 BMAs including Pop / R & B Artist of the Year, Best Pop / R & B Single - Do not Stop the Music, Best Female Video Music - "Shut Up and Drive", the song of the year -- -- "Umbrella" Album of the Year - Good Girl Gone Bad, Woman of the Year and People's Choice Entertainer of the Year
As of September 12, 2007, Rihanna toured Canada and the United States in support of the album with several performances and then crossed to Europe. It's called the Good Girl Gone Bad Tour, which will be released on DVD in early 2008 and functionality of the show played at Manchester Evening News Arena, December 6, 2007.
Rihanna has received four nominations for Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Best Rap / Sung Collaboration ( "Umbrella"), Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals ( "Hate That I Love You") and as Best Dance Recording (for "Do not Stop the Music"), while his album has received an additional two Grammys: Song of the Year and Best R & B Song.
Rihanna established a new single, "Take A Bow" on KIIS-FM On Air with Ryan Seacrest. The song will be supported by the new edition of Good Girl Gone Bad, which will be published on May 27, 2008.
